When recruiting we are looking for candidates who can, and will, rise to the challenge, and want to make their mark in Maldon and within their career.  In return, the Council offers a generous package as well as the opportunity to work and live in an area with a high quality of life (you can read more about what the area has to offer here).  

2007 was a year of substantial progress and change at Maldon District Council but there is still plenty we want to do in 2008 and beyond.  Our  Corporate Plan 2007-2011 has been approved and we are now focusing on delivering our vision – working to encourage and maintain a District which takes pride in itself – and our priorities.

As the Audit Commission acknowledged in our annual Direction of Travel Statement for last year:
“The Council has achieved much in a short period; however there still remains much to do. Many of the building blocks are in place upon which to base sustainable improvement in the future for the services that matter for local people as well as for the key community leadership role that the Council must discharge” (March 2007).
