Maldon District Council does not licence the storage of fireworks or fireworks displays.

If a display is to be held on Council owned land, i.e. Promenade Park, then the Council's consent as land owner will be required and a risk assessment provided by the organisers. It is suggested that early contact is made with the Council's Leisure department.

Public firework displays on any land that are accompanied by music (other than background music) may well require licensing under the Licensing Act 2003.
