The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 came into force on 1^st April 2005. The Act places a responsibility on Local Authorities to provide advice about business continuity o businesses and voluntary organisations within the County from mid - May 2006.

Maldon District Council is developing a strategy to deliver this duty and further information will appear here in due course.
