Maldon District Council holds its own special events and also supports and facilitates events organised across the District – providing advice and guidance to event organisers, operating an equipment loan scheme and a Community Grant scheme.

The Council owns two sites in the District and to find out more about booking your event or hiring equipment please read on.

Sites owned by Maldon District Council

Promenade Park in Maldon and Riverside Park in

Burnham-on-Crouch are owned by Maldon District Council and are used by event organisers from all over the country for large and small-scale events.

Promenade Park

Promenade Park sits on the River Blackwater and is host to the famous Maldon Mud Race.

Millfields

Millfields is on the River Crouch and plays host to various boating events.

If you would like to join the many other event holders that use Promenade Park or Millfields then please get in touch with the Leisure Assistant, for advice and an information pack, which includes an application for the use of council land, guidelines for completing a risk assessment and general guidance for event organisers to ensure that your event will be safe and successful.

Voluntary and Community Organisations and Parish Council's can hire equipment from the Council for their events in the District

Maldon District Council has many of the items of equipment that you will need for outdoor events, from bunting, road pins, chairs and tables, to the larger items such as different types of fencing, marquees and easy-ups and tower lighting.
