Yes it's back again!!  We all enjoyed it so much last time that we are going to do it all over again - on 23 and 24 October this year.

Midnight Manoeuvres is a challenging overnight orienteering event held in the depths of Thetford Forest.  The event is for teams of 6 to 8 people and is professionally organised with full radio and safety cover.

It is run as a competition with the winners being the fastest team to successfully negotiate the approximately 15 mile course.  However, this is not as easy as it sounds as you will be navigating through a featureless forest in the dark whilst trying not to attract the attention of the 'pursuit' teams or incurring time penalties.

The event will start at around 5pm on Saturday 23 October at the Bidwell Guide and Scout Centre near Santon Downham and will finish sometime on Sunday morning when the last team has been accounted for!!.

Lots more details will be provided nearer the time.

An event this size also require a large team of dedicated volunteers to make it work successfully so if you don't feel like taking part in the competition but you would like to volunteer to help please contact Roy Read.
