Cycling in the District
Short, easy circular tours and longer itineraries, mostly on quiet country lanes, allow both the occasional and committed cyclist to enjoy this area to the full. Whether you wish to visit the interesting towns, pretty rural villages or sample some of the excellent village pubs and traditional Inns you will always find something to discover.

Two Rivers' Way

(These routes should be followed using the appropriate maps available at the Tourist Information Centre in Maldon and bookshops)

Far & Wide (14 miles)
A circular route through villages mostly on quiet country lanes.

Two Rivers Way (28 miles)
A circular route from Burnham-On-Crouch, visiting the small towns and villages of the Dengie Hundred. The route also takes in the marshes and higher areas lying between the Blackwater and Crouch estuaries.

The Bryhtnoth Tour (22 miles)
A circular route to the south of Maldon, also visiting the north shore of the River Crouch.

The Blackwater Ride (34 miles)
This tour visits 2 villages on the north shire of the Blackwater Estuary then heads inland to join the River Blackwater as it meanders through the Essex countryside.
