The District is a paradise for sailors - this is one of the most popular areas for sailing in the whole of the East of England, and our rivers and shoreline provide fine natural water sports arenas. There are numerous sailing clubs, ranging from the very informal to the prestigious internationally famous clubs on the River Crouch.

 

Our excellent marinas offer yachtsmen the finest of modern facilities, sailing schools for all levels of experience from absolute beginners to people wishing to qualify for RYA certificates at the highest levels.

All of the District's marinas and clubs make visitors very welcome and many of the marinas provide full facilities and berths for yachts of all sizes.
