Are you Missing out on Benefit?

Do you live in the Maldon District?

Read below for more information on how to request a Free Benefit Check!

If you live in the Maldon District, you could be one of many people entitled to claim additional benefits. By requesting a free benefit check, you may be able to get one or more extra benefits depending on your circumstances.

These are some of the benefits that are frequently unclaimed:

  • Council Tax Benefit helps with the payment of Council Tax for those on a low income and with limited savings.
  • Housing Benefit is available to help with the cost of rent for those on a low income and with limited savings.
  • Pension Credit helps to increase the income of people aged 60 or over who have limited income and savings. It can also help those aged 65 or over who have some savings.
  • Attendance Allowance helps to meet the extra costs for people aged 65 or over who need help with personal care or supervision.
  • Disability Living Allowance meets extra costs for people under 65 who need help with personal care or supervision or who have mobility problems.
  • Social Fund provides grants and loans to help people on Income Support or Jobseekers Allowance who need to buy essential items or services.
