Remembrance Scheme and Memorials

We offer a Remembrance Scheme for placement within the Cemeteries. These include engraved plaques, trees and benches.

If you have purchased a grave and wish to arrange to place a memorial on the grave you should contact a Funeral Director or Stonemason for further information. The council charges for the right to place a memorial. If the Stonemason has not worked with Maldon District Council they can download an application form from the download area (Application to errect or alter a memorial). Remembrance Scheme
Maldon District Council also offers you the opportunity to purchase a memorial bench placed in a park or area of public open space within the Maldon District link to leaflet on Memorial Benches. A downloadable information factsheet is available in the download area which includes an application form.
