The Blackwater Project
The Blackwater Estuary is recognised as being of outstanding importance for wildlife & nature conservation, heritage, landscape & the marine environment.  
 The River Blackwater

The Blackwater Project ran between 1992 and 2005.  Its aim was to promote the sustainable use of the estuary & the surrounding landscape.

The coastal function, including estuary management is now delivered by the Countryside and Coast Team.
