Criminal Damage and How to Report It

Council Owned Property

an example of criminal damage

Often members of the public are the first to spot vandalism to Council owner property. In some cases, as in the picture above, the vandalism is so serious that it could result in injury to a member of the public.

If that is the case involving Maldon District Council owned property please pass the information to the duty Park Ranger, telephone number 07771 935330.

Where a crime is happening now or if anyone is in immediate danger telephone 999 to contact the police when an "immediate" response is required. This should not be used for less urgent cases as it ties up the emergency line and may delay a really urgent call for help.

Maldon District Council is committed to repairing damage and removing graffiti from its own property as quickly as possible. Most property in the District is not owned by us and as such the repairs are out of our control.

If you would like to report by e-mail any incidents of vandalism that have occurred in the Maldon District which do not require urgent attention, you can email us on maintenance@maldon.gov.uk
