If you sell pets, you must have a licence from the Council.
How do I get a licence?
To apply for a new licence or to renew a licence, you will need to complete an application form available in the download area. Once completed, send the application with the appropriate fee of £113 to the Council.
When you apply for a licence, an authorised officer from the Council will inspect to ensure that you are complying with licence conditions (available in the download area).
The Council will issue the licence providing that you comply with the requirements of the licence conditions issued under the Pet Animals Act 1951.
Licences must be renewed on an annual basis.
