Statement of Community Involvement

What is a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)?

The SCI explains Maldon District Council's policy for engaging the community in preparation of Local Development Documents and in the consideration of major planning applications.

The SCI for the Maldon District was adopted by the Council on 15 February 2007, following public consultation. It has been declared by the Planning Inspectorate as 'sound'.

The content of the adopted SCI can be obtained in the Download Area, and comprises the Submission Version as modified by the recommendations in the Inspector's Report which you can also find there.
