SPD Childrens Playspaces

Introduction

The purpose of this SPD is to set out a formula that allows a developer contribution to be calculated for new housing development. The contribution takes account of the requirement to make room for a play space and provide the necessary equipment on larger developments, whilst also requiring a pro-rata contribution from smaller developments so that all proposals share an equal contribution.

The SPD sets out how policy REC3 in the Maldon District Replacement Local Plan will be implemented and is intended for use by developers, the public and other interested parties.

Adoption

The SPD on Children's Playspaces was adopted in March 2006. A copy can be found in the download section on the right hand side of this page.
