Building Control

Our building control service ensures that buildings are designed and constructed in accordance with the building regulations and associated legislation.  

Building control offers a variety of ways to ensure satisfactory construction. If you prefer to have the security of fully assessed construction details, then a Full Plans Application might be your best option. Alternatively a Building Notice, where the work is assessed as it progresses might be preferred. If work has been carried out without any applications being made a Regularisation would be the only option available to you.

Building control surveyors offer impartial advice and assistance to architects, agents, builders developers and the public. We aim to ensure the smooth progress of the project from pre-submission advice to completion of works.

Officers are available for telephone discussions between 8.30am and 10am daily. Alternatively you may wish to book an appointment to discuss your pre application requirements in person. (Tuesdays AM only)
