Heybridge Basin Village Design Statement

Following a period of gaining local opinion and views, a draft village design statement was prepared by the Heybridge Basin villagers and co-ordinated by the Heybridge Basin Conservation Society.

The village design statement underwent public consultation in June and July 2007 and was formally adopted by Maldon District Council in August 2007.

This village design statement aims to provide local guidelines to the future development of Heybridge Basin. The process has been supported by the Rural Community Council for Essex and Maldon District Council.

Although at this stage it will not form part of the Local Development Framework it is intended that the adopted village design statement will be referred to as a material consideration for determining planning applications at Heybridge Basin.
