Do I qualify for a national Travel Pass? To qualify for a Free Travel Pass, you must be a permanent resident of the Maldon District and fall into one or more of the following categories:
What does a Travel Pass entitle me to? Your new Travel Pass entitles you to travel for FREE on participating bus services, for off-peak journeys anywhere in England. (Please note this does not include Scotland, Wales or Ireland) Your pass will entitle you to travel from 9.00am until 11.30pm on weekdays and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. Please note off-peak times may vary slightly around the Country. Maldon District Council will also continue to offer companion passes for those who require additional assistance when travelling. How do I apply for a pass? If you wish to apply for a Travel Pass, please complete and return the application form to the right of this page. Please return the form to us with two passport sized photographs. You will also need to provide proof of age, such as a passport, driving licence or birth certificate. Please note married women providing a birth certificate will be required to supply a Marriage Certificate or alternative proof of ID. Conditions of use for Travel Pass owners can be found at the end of the application form, to the right of the page, in the downloadable area. Application forms should be returned to the Council Offices either in person or by post. All ID documentation received in the post will be returned to the sender by second class post. How do I renew my current Travel Pass? To enable us to renew your pass, all contact details must be up to date. If you have moved address or had a change in circumstance, please ensure we are notified to guarantee delivery of future passes. All current pass holders will automatically receive their new pass in time for April 2008. What should I do if I don't receive my pass? Passes are processed by Maldon District Council but are assembled off site. Passes are sent to applicants by second class post and can take up to 10 working days to arrive. If you do not receive your pass as expected, please get in touch with our Customer Contact Centre, who will be happy to assist you. Current Essex travel passes will be accepted on buses until 30th April 2008, to allow for the changes and any possible delays in customers receiving their new passes. What should I do if my pass arrives with my details wrong? Whilst we strive to offer the best possible service, sometimes mistakes do happen. If you are not completely happy with your pass or if any or your details are wrong please return your pass to us so we can arrange for a replacement.
