Do I qualify for a Senior Railcard?
To qualify for a Senior Railcard, you must be 60 years old or over. How much does a Senior Railcard cost? A Senior Railcard costs just £15.50 if you are a resident of Maldon District and you purchase your Railcard at our offices You can also purchase your Senior Railcard at any British Rail mainline station. The cost of purchasing your Railcard at these outlets is £24. What does a Senior Railcard entitle me to? Your Railcard could save you 1/3 on most rail fares throughout Britain. A Senior Railcard is valid for one year. There are time restrictions on travel during peak periods. Please contact British Rail for further details. How do I apply? If you wish to apply for a Senior Railcard, please call into our office to complete an application form. Alternatively, you can download the form on line, and return the completed application form to our offices, or a British Rail mainline station. You will need to provide proof of age, such as a passport, driving license or birth certificate (and marriage certificate for married women). In addition, you will need to provide proof of residency, such as a bank statement, utilities bill or driving license. How do I renew my Senior Railcard? You will need to complete a new application each year, and provide us with your last railcard as proof of name, age and address, or bring in proof as detailed above. |
