Green Sack Service
Residents can purchase special Maldon District Council green waste sacks which can be booked onto our wheelie bin collection rounds. These cost £1 per sack which covers the additional cost of composting the waste. (Please note there is an extra charge of 35p per sack if you want these posted to you).

When you are ready to have the MDC green sacks collected just telephone Maldon District Council and your sacks will be collected on the next collection day for your area. (Bookings must be taken by 12 noon for the next day's collection).

We will give you a designated collection day to ensure your garden waste is taken and composted. Your green waste sacks will need to be ready for collection by 7.00am at the front boundary of your property on the designated collection day.

The green waste bags can be purchased from the following outlets ONLY or contact us.

Maldon Town Council Offices, Market Hill or Maldon District Council Offices, Princes Road.
Joyces, Station Road, Burnham
Burnham - On - Crouch Town Council Office
Southminster Parish Rooms, Queensborough Road.

You can also send in a cheque made payable to Maldon District Council and write your address and "Green Sacks" on the reverse of the cheque (please remember to enclose the extra fee for postage). Send to Waste Management Team. We will then post your sacks out to you for the appropriate value.

Please note that green waste collected in this way is now composted.
