Refuse Collections

Maldon District Council works in partnership with Enterprise Plc to collect refuse weekly from every domestic property in the Maldon District.  Waste must be presented in sacks by 7am on the correct day of collection at the front boundary of the property.

Collection Day:

All properties in the Maldon District have a weekly refuse collection service. If you are unsure when your collection day is please contact Maldon District Council on 01621 854477 or Click here for collections over a bank holiday.

Presentation:

Please present your waste in sacks on the boundary of your property (where your property meets the highway.) Please ensure you rubbish is presented no later than 7am the morning of collection to avoid being missed and no early than dusk the night before.

We also operate a recycling service. Please click here for materials collected. For help on how to  reduce your waste and recycle more view our reduce, reuse and recycle pages.

Getting help
Members of the public who require an assisted collection to enable refuse to be picked up from any other location on their property must contact the Waste Management Team. Alternatively fill in the online assisted collection form by clicking here.

Spillages:
Occasionally refuse can be spilt on the pavement or roadside from the collection. All collection staff should ensure any spillages are removed as they occur. If you need to report a spillage that has not been cleared then please fill in our online form by clicking here.

If, however, the spillage is not related to the roadside collection you will need to contact Essex County Council Highways Division; for further information please click here.
