Free Saturday Collection point service:
Take advantage of the free Saturday Green Waste collection service around the District (see download area for list.) Residents can dispose of garden waste at one of the temporary collection points. This service runs from the first Saturday in March until the last Saturday in November each year.
Home composting:
Residents are encouraged to home compost their garden waste to produce their own free soil improver. If you would like to view our range of subsidised compost bins please click here.

Recycling Centres for Household Waste:
Garden waste can also be taken to any Recycling Centres for Household waste and it will be accepted free of charge. The Council also operates several chargeable services for residents who prefer to have their garden waste taken from their front boundary.
Garden wheelie bin service:
Lease a garden waste wheelie bin and have it emptied from your kerbside weekly between March and November and fortnightly during December, January and February. For the fortnightly collections please view our schedule in the download area.

Garden waste sacks:
For residents who produce smaller amounts of garden waste, green garden sacks are available from £1 each, click here for further details.
All Waste collected by Maldon District Council's garden waste services is composted locally in Tolleshunt Major by B G Appleton (Contracts).

Large Collections:
Larger loads or commercial gardeners can take their garden waste to Appleton Organics in Tolleshunt Major. For more information on gate fees and opening times please contact Appletons on (01621) 815502.
