Recycling Collections

Residents either receive a black and blue box for recycling or orange sacks for the more rural rounds.

Please find out what goes in your BLUE BOX by clicking here.

Please note we now collect empty aerosols in your blue box.

Please find out what goes in your BLACK BOX by clicking here.

recycling boxes

For your recycling box collection please view the black and blue box pages above to ensure you put the right material in the right box.  We would also recommend reading these pages to avoid your recycling not being collected.

Anyone with an orange sack collection may put glass, cans, tins, empty aerosols, yellow pages, foil, paper and small cardboard in their sacks all together.

Boxes and orange sacks are collected on the same day as refuse collections and you can find out what day this is by clicking here.

The boxes have 55 litre capacity which should be enough to contain your recycling on a weekly basis. If you do not feel this is sufficient you may order another box to contain your waste.

Crews are instructed not to collect extra recycling outside of the box, the only exception is during Christmas where crews will do there best to accommodate your recycling needs.  The reason for this is to ensure litter is not created, however, if you feel crews have left litter as a result of their collection please contact us to clear it.
