It is an offence under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to present trade waste as domestic waste. Therefore, all businesses/organisations have a Duty of Care to separate their waste before collection and must arrange for a separate collection or heavy penalities may incur.  Maldon District Council will not automatically collect your business waste. 

Commercial waste includes any business making a profit in addition to not-for-profit organisations.

Maldon District Council will make use of third parties to collect trade waste on its behalf.  Should you prefer to contact the third parties directly please see below for some of the companies which operate in the area.
