The Burnham Carnival went down a storm when Officers dressed in recycled costumes pushed shopping trolleys in the procession. Light bulbs, water savers, cloth shopping bags, and even fruit were handed out to crowds.

The day started with a stall with plenty of games to encourage children and adults to eat well, as well as recycle and reduce their waste. There was also the chance to win goody bags, a smoothly maker and even make your own smoothly by peddling a bike.

For the procession, a group of enthusiastic Leos joined Maldon District Council to promote their group, also dressed in recycable material.

We would like to thanks residents for their excellent support and making the day a memorable one.

The Waste Team is around all year attending events, offering competitions, giveaways, and advice. If you want us to come along, provide a stall and bring along some excellent recycling and reuse activities please contact us by clicking here.
