Clothes banks are provided by L M Barry, glass and can banks by Berrymans, and paper banks by Aylesford Newsprint. Please see our list of all recycling sites in the download area.
Banks are emptied regularly but from time to time demand will be higher than anticipated and additional emptying is required. You can do the following:
- Report overflowing banks to the Maldon District Council/ General Recycling Enquiry e-form;
- Take your material to an alternative site if the bank is full
Please do not deposit anything other than those materials that the site is designed for. If you do you could be prosecuted for fly-tipping and fined up to £2500.
There is an increase of cardboard and plastic being left in our paper bins. Contamination can lead to a whole load rejected the other side which means the contents is landfilled and also wastes the efforts of others.
The Recycling Centres for Household Waste in the Promenade Park, Maldon and Springfield Road, Burnham-on-Crouch will take other items that banks do not recycle, such as plastic bottles, batteries, scrap metal, yellow pages, batteries. To find out more please click here. We are always looking for new sites for recycling banks. If you have a suggestion please let us know by telephoning or filling in our online General Recycling Enquiry e-form. |
