To safeguard the health and safety of refuse collection staff, hazardous waste is not collected from the kerbside by Maldon District Council however, if you require a new empty sharps box please bring it to reception at Maldon District Council and we will exchange for your full one.
Please refrain from putting any of the following items out for refuse collection.
- Trade waste or waste from commercial premises
- Asbestos
- Petrol and some other liquids
- Chemicals and other toxic substances
- Syringes and medical wastes
- Poisons
- Paint
These items are also not accepted at any Civic Amenity and recycling centres except paint which can be taken to the Civic Amenity and recycling centres for re-use.
