The Planning and Licensing Committee is responsible for:

  • Town and Country Planning (incl. Development Control)
  • Planning Policy (incl. Local Plan and Local Development Framework)
  • Building Control
  • Street naming and numbering
  • Natural and built environment (incl. conservation, heritage and trees)
  • Economic Development (incl. Business Development and Tourism)
  • Rivers policy and management
  • Highways and Transportation (partnership liaison and consultation)
  • Public licensing (policy, administration and enforcement)
