Home > Your Council > Contacting Your Council
The Customer Contact Centre is designed specifically to enable customers to access a range of services, without the necessity to transfer callers from one department to another. The Customer Contact Centre consists of a ‘One Stop Shop’ area for all face to face enquiries, whether that be to report a missed rubbish collection, to discuss a planning application or to make a benefit claim, to name a few. Upon arrival customers can expect to be met by our Meeter and Greeter, who will be happy assist you, or for more in depth queries they will direct you through to see a dedicated Customer Service Advisor (CSA).
For those customers who prefer to ring the Council, there is a designated team of CSA’s to assist you with your call. CSA’s are trained to the highest standard. To deal with your enquiries with the utmost respect, ensuring all aspects of confidentiality and professionalism are adhered to at all times. The Customer Contact Centre is open: Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 17.00 Friday 8.30am – 16.30
It is advised that customer enquiries in person, should arrive no later than 15mins before closure. As part of the Councils approach to Customer Service a Customer Charter has been devised, to show how we aim to deal with customer queries. As part of this we endeavour to ensure customers can see a CSA within 15mins of arriving at the Council offices and that calls are answered within 3minutes of calling. The full charter is available to view in the downloadable area to the right of this page. On the rare occasion you are not completely satisfied with the service you have received, the Customer Services Team would welcome the opportunity of finding out how the service could be improved. Alternatively if you feel you have received a good service, we would really appreciate it if you could tell us about your experiences. A feedback form will be available here shortly for you to register your details electronically, or alternatively you may like to contact us in writing.
