Electoral Register
You can add your name to the Register of Electors during the months of December through to August.

Monthly updates are made to the register to take account of people who change their address.

For more information email: elections@maldon.gov.uk or call 01621 875746.

If you do not register then you cannot vote at any election.

Apply to Register
You can apply to register using the voter registration form which you can find in the Download Area.  Please fill in the form and return it to the address given either by fax or by post.

In order to register at an address, you must be living at that property as your main residence on the date of your application.

Viewing the Electoral Register
You can view the Edited Electoral Register here at the Customer Service Centre in the Council Offices.

The edited register leaves out the names and addresses of people who have asked for them to be excluded from that version of the register.  The edited register can be bought by anyone who asks for a copy, and they may use it for any purpose.

The Full version of the Register is available for public inspection (under supervision).  Please telephone 01621 875746/875880 to arrange an appointment.

Complete back files are held at the British Library in London or Essex Records Office in Chelmsford.
