Parish Councillors
Parish and Town Councillors are elected every four years at the same time as District Councillors. They have an active interest and concern for their local community. They represent local people and work in partnership with them and others when necessary, helping to provide local services and facilities, and take decisions that form the policy of their Councils.

Councillors are not paid and like their District and County counterparts have to abide by a
local government code of conduct, and openly register their financial and other interests. For more information on this, please contact the relevant Parish/Town Clerk under Parish Council Contacts or see Councillor Declaration of Interest.

Councillors must also declare a personal or prejudicial interest where relevant in any matter under discussion at a parish council meeting.
