Maldon District Council’s Gender Equality Scheme (GES) is one of a number of measures taken by the Council to meet our commitment to promote equality of opportunity for the citizens of the Maldon District and for employees/potential employees of the District Council.
The Maldon District Council Corporate Equality Policy confirms a commitment to equality – to treating everyone who comes into contact with us – residents, service users, businesses, visitors and staff, fairly and equally.
We will ensure that we do not unlawfully discriminate against people because of race, ethnic origin, religious belief, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or any other reason.
