About Us

Maldon District Council is a small, rural Local Authority serving a population of around 60,000 people.



The Council comprises 31 Members, many of whom are also Town/Parish Councillors. 2 are also Members of Essex County Council, representing the 3 County Divisions in the Maldon District. Our residents are therefore well represented at every level.

The Council has approximately 230 staff working to provide a range of services to local residents and businesses.
