Tickets for the 6th annual Maldon Oyster and Seafood Festival to be held on Monday 1st September 2008 will shortly be going on sale from Maldon Tourist Information Centre, Wenlcock Way, Maldon priced at £30.00. Tickets can be purchased by credit card on 01621 856503 or collected in person from the Tourist Office.
The ticket will once again include a sumptuous Seafood buffet prepared by the Executive Head Chef and his team at Five Lakes Hotel, Golf Country Club & Spa Tolleshunt Knights and Oysters supplied by the Maldon Oyster & Seafood Company.
There will also be a licensed bar run by the proprietor of the Prince of Wales at Stow Maries who will also be selling some locally produced wine and beer and kindly sponsoring the entertainment.
As last year, the event will be held in a marquee next to the Amphitheatre in Promenade Park, which has proved to be the ideal location.
Cllr John Archer co-organiser of the event said “the Oyster Festival is gaining an excellent reputation and continues to grow in popularity each year, attracting visitors from far and wide, and I would urge people to purchase their tickets early”.
