Street Scene Enforcement Team to Visit Southminster

Maldon District Council’s Street Scene Enforcement Team will be undertaking a three day education event in Southminster from 3rd to 5th November 2008.

The aim of this event is to make residents and businesses aware of their responsibilities in the community regarding dog fouling, fly tipping and littering as well as gathering information about the problems faced in the area.

Street Scene Enforcement Officers will be patrolling and monitoring various hot spot locations across the three days in Southminster including early and late evening patrols in order to talk to as many people as possible.

Cllr. Mrs Brenda Keighley, Chairman of the Community Services Committee said “these high profile events are an excellent opportunity for the Street Scene Enforcement Officers to talk to and educate the community. It also helps to raise awareness and gather intelligence about the problem areas which affect our communities."
