To find out if you are at risk of flooding, please see the Environment Agency website. From here you can also see up to date notices of flood warnings in place for risks of coastal flooding and flooding from main rivers.

In addition to this, Essex County Council is a Lead Flood Authority responsible for dealing with flooding from surface water, groundwater and ordinary watercourses. Essex County Council will investigate and produce reports on significant flooding and work with Maldon District Council and the Environment Agency to manage flood risk and where necessary commission works to prevent surface water runoff and groundwater flooding.
