This is one of the largest and best equipped parish fields in the Maldon District. The site is flat, open and is bordered to the south by a large flooded former gravel pit.
In February 2010 a new outdoor gym was installed with the aim of increasing opportunities for local residents to stay healthy and exercise for free. The gym consists of 12 exercise stations including a cross trainer for cardio-vascular fitness, a leg press and a sit up bench.
