Bulky Waste And Electrical Items

Our contractors can remove items that are not allowed in the standard refuse collection. There is a fee for this service which is based on the number of items collected.

Alternatively you can take these items (including electrical items) to one of the recycling centres for household waste.

Household items using either mains electricity such as kettles, light fittings, hair straighteners or batteries such as hand held torches, smoke alarms or power tools cannot be collected as part of the normal refuse.

Standard & WEEE items

The charge is currently £20.00 for 3 items including electrical & refrigerated items.  Additional items can be taken and will be charged at £20.00 per 3 items.

Collections have to be booked in with our contractors Enterprise PLC  but some jobs may require a quotation prior to booking.  Please contact Maldon District Council on 01621 854477 to arrange to book in a collection.
