Flooding has become a more prominent problem in recent years. We have a role (together with Essex County Council and the Environment Agency) in enforcing the provisions of the Land Drainage Act 1991. Our powers under this Act enable us to deal with blocked or obstructed watercourses.
We will respond to all requests about blocked or obstructed watercourses within 5 working days.
If we are not the appropriate body to deal with your request, we will advise you who is.
