Environment Agency Flood Warnings
Published on Friday 4th May 2012
Maldon District Council is urging residents to ‘be prepared’ should the Environment Agency issue any flood warnings.
The Environment Agency places any Flood Warnings on their web site www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods and you will also find some useful advice and information should this be necessary.
Flooding will always be a risk for the Maldon District and residents should 'be prepared' to take any reasonable precautions to protect themselves and their property.
We would always urge residents to Go In, Stay in and Tune in to their local radio and television stations where advice will be given. Further advice and information is available on www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods.
Residents should however be reassured that we have a well-rehearsed plan to deal with flooding, working in partnership with the other agencies and we endeavour to support residents of the District in the best possible way.
