Description

We have an exciting opportunity for Public Heath Practitioner to join our busy team here in Maldon. Your role will help us to reduce health inequalities and to improve health outcomes for all of our residents. You will be working across our organisation to ensure that we co-ordinate and target our activities to meet our health and wellbeing priorities, as well as  working with a wide range of partners including Essex County Council and Mid-Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

Ideally you will be degree level educated with a background in public health. You must be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision. Dependent on experience, support will be given to work towards the National Public Health Practitioner Accreditation Scheme.

About this role

As a Health Improvement Officer you will play a key role in helping us to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents. 

You will undertake research and analysis to help inform health and wellbeing projects, and to target service delivery to have the maximum impact on our local health priorities.

You will be professionally supported in this role by the Countywide Public Health Consultants, and you will be part of wider Essex wide Health Improvement Officers Network  which meets regularly to ensure that good practice and knowledge is shared, and used to “scale up” local projects and activities.

If you are not already a registered Public Health Practitioner, you will be required to work towards this accreditation.
