Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist as part of our biggest and most ambitious transformation which will be taking the Council to new levels of excellence.

About this role

You will need to have a significant experience of public sector procurement and contract management and be an excellent team worker as well as managing your own caseload.

You will need to have in depth knowledge of procurement and contract management arrangements

You will be the most senior procurement lead in the Council and ensure compliance across all Council services.

You will be able to prepare and present reports to council committees and other internal and external meetings.

You will assist in the development of the community of practice across the organisation including mentoring staff in order to improve delivery of the specialism and support career development.

To deliver this role you will need CIPS and Evidence of CPD.
