What can be recycled at recycling banks

What can be recycled

  • Food cans
  • Glass jars and bottles
  • Drink cartons, for example tetrapak
  • Textiles and footwear
  • Small Electrical items (small WEEE) can be recycled in the L M Barry textile banks only
  • Newspapers and magazines

Banks are emptied regularly but from time to time demand will be higher than anticipated and additional emptying is required. If any of our banks are overflowing, please report them to us.

Please do not deposit anything other than those materials that the site is designed for. If you do, you may be prosecuted for fly-tipping.

The recycling centres for household waste in the Promenade Park, Maldon and Springfield Road, Burnham-on-Crouch will take other items that banks do not recycle, such as plastic bottles, batteries, scrap metal and yellow pages.
