Conservation and Design Awards 2018 Winners

The winners of the 35th Maldon District Conservation and Design Awards have been announced and include the conservative repair of a semi-detached timber-framed cottage dating from the early 1700s, the adaption and extension of a village hall and the design of an extension and refurbishment of a Georgian house.

Six exemplary projects received awards in the annual categories of Building Conservation, Design, Sustainability and Landscape at a Presentation Ceremony held on 06 November 2018.

Councillor Penny Channer, Chairman of the Judging Panel, said: "Maldon's Conservation and Design Awards always bring out the best in this part of Essex.  This year's award-winning projects display a sensitive, intelligent, skilful and pragmatic approach to the most cherished elements of our local environment."
