- Essex County Council offers a range of business information and support including export, licence information, DBS Checks, trading standards, procurement, venue hire etc
- Backing Essex Business (BEB) is fully-funded by Essex County Council and delivered by Let’s Do Business Group, to support business growth across the county, promoting economic growth and creating jobs.

- Gov.uk Business and Self-employed provides details about government services and information for business
- Intellectual Property Office (IPO) is the official UK government body responsible for intellectual property (IP) rights including patents, designs, trademarks and copyright
- The Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies provides guidance and assistance to help people set up Community Interest Companies (CICs) and assesses whether an organisation qualifies to be a CIC
- Companies House is the national home of planning and building regulations information and the national planning application service. It incorporates, and dissolves limited companies, and registers company information and makes it available to the public
- Planning Portal is the national home of planning and building regulations information and the national planning application service
- The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is the national independent watchdog for work-related health, safety and illness. It acts in the public interest to reduce work-related death and serious injury across Great Britain's workplaces
- Superfast Essex is the county’s broadband improvement programme co-ordinated by Essex County Council, and part of the Government’s national Superfast Britain programme. Across Essex they are working to enable as many homes and businesses as possible to access superfast broadband to enable economic growth and improve residents’ quality of life.
