This list is updated each time a new Assisted Funeral is arranged by the Council under The Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984.

The Council has chosen to disclose only the minimum details required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding Assisted Funerals. We consider that Section 31(1)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 could apply to these separate and joint circumstances.

Section 31 states that information can be exempt from release under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 due to the possibility that providing the information would, or would be likely, to prejudice the prevention or detection of crime.

Giving specific information such as full addresses of the deceased could be a danger to the properties or possibly individuals if the properties have been let or sold.

Any possible illicit behaviour including theft, fraud, anti-social behaviour or illicit occupation of the property can be eradicated by not giving this specific information.
