Maldon District Sports Awards 2017

Nominations are now open for the Maldon District Sports Awards 2017 which will take place on Wednesday 25th October 2017 at The Plume Community Academy.

It doesn't matter who you are, parent, participant, spectator or club we want you to nominate for those you feel deserve recognition.

There are 11 fantastic awards on offer;

  • Sports personality of the year
  • Disabled sports personality of the year
  • Life time achievement award
  • Volunteer of the year award
  • Sports club of the year
  • Coach of the year
  • Community project of the year
  • School or college of the year
  • Young sports personality of the year
  • Changing lives awards
  • “This girl can” award

Cllr Bob Boyce MBE, Chairman of Community Services said “the Maldon District Sports Awards recognise the amazing efforts and achievements of local clubs and sporting personalities. The awards raise the profile of sport in the District and support the Council’s objective to have an active population with healthy lifestyles.

After bringing back the awards in 2015, they have become bigger and better every year. This year we have some new awards, a new venue and we will be live on Saint FM”.
