Burnham-on-Crouch Town Council and Heybridge Parish Council scoop Essex Association of Local Councils awards.

Maldon District Council would like to congratulate Burnham-on-Crouch Town Council who received a Special Achievement Award for their Neighbourhood Plan.

Cllr Wendy Stamp of Burnham-on-Crouch Town Council received the award from the Essex Association of Local Councils on 19th September in recognition of the Neighbourhood Plan which was “made” on 7th September.

 

Cllr Wendy Stamp said “It was a complete surprise and a great honour to accept this award in front of a large group of peers and colleagues.  The whole event was superbly organised and I met with many lovely members and speakers”.

 

Heybridge Parish Council also received a Foundation and Quality Standard Council Award.

 

Cllr Andrew St Joseph, Vice-Chairman of Planning and Licencing for Maldon District Council said “My congratulations to Burnham-on-Crouch Town Council and Heybridge Parish Council on their achievements. It is great to see the hard work of parish and town councils being recognised”.
