Business opportunities in District parks

Published on Monday, 5th February 2018

The Council is looking for new and exciting events, family activities and concessions for ‘Summer in Maldon District 2018’.

Each year thousands of visitors and tourists choose to spend their time in the Maldon District which creates significant opportunities for new and existing businesses.

We are inviting expressions of interest from people and organisations who would like to bring new events, activities or food concessions to the Council owned District parks and public spaces.

Interested people should contact events@maldon.gov.uk, 01621 854477 or find more information at www.Maldon.gov.uk/concessions.

A Council spokesperson said “Do you run a mobile rock climbing wall, Segways, ice cream stalls or juice bar? Are you a comic, musician or family entertainer? Do you want to reach thousands of new customers? We would love to hear from you.”

Opportunities exist across various District parks and open spaces from just £15 per day. Including:

Promenade Park, Maldon
One of the regions premier and most loved venues, known for hosting the world famous Maldon Mud Race, Classic Car Shows and the new Smoke and Fire Festival.

Riverside Park, Burnham-on-Crouch
This large and much loved park has great views over the river and links to the picturesque town of Burnham-on-Crouch.

Hythe Quay
The gateway to Maldon for well over a thousand years and home of the iconic Thames Sailing Barges.

Oak Tree Meadow & Elms Farm Park
Popular play area, meadows and lakes on the banks of the Blackwater Canal and near Tesco in Maldon.

Over 20 other parks and open spaces throughout the District.
