The Chairman of Maldon District Council supports Apprenticeship Week

Apprenticeships event march 2018

Cllr Henry Bass, Chairman of Maldon District Council, attended the first of a two-day event run by Jobcentre Plus on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th March.

The event, hosted by Maldon District Council, is part of National Apprenticeship Week; #NAW2018 from 5 to 9 March.

The event brought together a range of apprenticeship providers to offer support and advice to those looking to start their career.

Das Colbeck and Victoria Thomas, Jobcentre Plus, said; “The event has been great; together with our partners we have helped dozens of people. My thanks go to Maldon District Council for supporting this event and to the apprenticeship providers who have made it a success.”

Cllr Henry Bass, Chairman of Maldon District Council, said; “Apprenticeships represent an excellent option for young people looking to start their careers. The Council employs a number of apprentices and is pleased to support this event.”

National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the success of apprenticeships and encourages more people to choose apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career. #NAW2018 is showcasing how apprenticeships work - for individuals, for employers, for the community and for the wider economy.
