Essex Lifestyle Service providing free support to residents
Published on Wednesday, 1st August 2018
A free health and wellbeing clinic held at Maldon District Council offices is aiming to empower residents to make healthy lifestyle choices and to encourage residents to “live well”.
There is no appointment necessary. Residents can drop in every Thursday between 1-3pm, and discuss their options with Chloe Denton, a qualified Lifestyle Practitioner from Provide.
Ben Page, the Council’s Health Improvement Officer, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for residents in the District to make positive lifestyle changes, with the support of Chloe. We are keen to support our residents to make effective lifestyle changes, so whether it is being more active, quitting smoking, or losing weight, we would encourage anyone who is interested in leading a healthier lifestyle to just come and have a chat.”
Lifestyle advice is also available at the monthly Maldon Multi Agency Centre (MAC) which aims to provide help and support to residents from a range of agencies. The next Maldon MAC takes place on Thursday 6 September between 11am-1pm.
